Covid-19 Court Guide
We at Marker & Crannell know this is a scary and confusing time. To make this hard time a little easier we have prepared this guide to help you understand how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected courts in Illinois and more importantly your case. In order to conform with Governor Pritzker’ stay at home order and the CDC’s social distancing guidelines courts throughout our great state have scaled back their services. Sadly, this means many court dates have been continued. As always, the team at Marker & Crannell is here to answer any questions you may have regarding your case. We may not be able to meet in person, but we would be happy to speak to you via phone, text, or email.

While your case has been continued this does not mean that work on your case stops. Investigations will continue, motions will be written, and discovery will be answered. It also does not mean that new cases cannot be filed. All the circuits listed above are still accepting new filings. The team at Marker & Crannell will do everything we can to push your case forward during this unprecedented disruption of our legal system. Stay safe, stay healthy, and hopefully the team at Marker & Crannell will see you sooner rather than later.
